Will the oils and moisture in bath bombs damage my packaging?
Bath bombs are delicate and often packed with oils and colorants, and they can soften or fizz early if exposed to humidity. Wrapping each bath bomb first adds a protective barrier (see bath bomb wrappers), and foil wrap is the strongest choice for bombs with oils or sensitive ingredients. For the printed box, a coating such as varnish or lamination protects against scratches, scuffs and moisture. Our guide to varnish vs lamination explains the difference.
Should I choose white or kraft packaging?
Choose white for the sharpest, most vibrant printing: it uses Solid Bleached Sulfate (SBS) paper, which gives high-quality print results. Choose brown kraft for a natural, eco-friendly look. Kraft is unbleached brown paper and works best with black or white printing only.
Which finish should I pick: matte, glossy, satin or soft touch?
Matte has a smooth, non-reflective surface and a softer look. Glossy is reflective and vibrant, but it highlights fingerprints more. Satin is semi-glossy, a balance between matte and glossy. Soft touch looks like matte but feels like velvet. For a high-end look you can also add foil stamping, which gives a metallic finish, or embossing, which adds texture to logos and designs.
What size box do I need for my bath bomb?
Measure your bath bomb across its widest point, then add about ¼ in (6 mm) so it slides in easily, and a little more if it is shrink-wrapped or has dried flowers or a bumpy top. Always write the size as length × width × height. Our guide to measuring a box shows how, and the size guide on each box page has suggested sizes.

Should I print in CMYK or Pantone?
CMYK is the most common and budget-friendly color scheme in printing. Pantone prints exact brand colors and is the more luxury option. Our guide to color systems in packaging explains when to use each.
How do I ship bath bombs without breakage?
Use a corrugated mailer box, which is built to handle courier pressure, corner drops and long-distance transit. Add box dividers or inserts so the bath bombs do not knock or rub against each other, and wrap each one first for extra protection.
What should I print on my bath bomb box?
Most brands print the brand name, scent name, ingredients, usage directions and warnings, plus a barcode if they sell in retail. Tuck boxes and pillow boxes have room for ingredient panels and barcode areas, and stickers or labels can carry batch numbers and extra warnings. Labeling rules depend on your product and where you sell, and you are responsible for compliance (see our Terms and Conditions), so check the requirements for your market before you finalize your artwork.
Is your bath bomb packaging eco-friendly?
Our boxes are made with at least 50% recycled materials and printed with soy-based ink, and recyclable paperboard and kraft options are available. Water-based varnish is the more environmentally friendly coating, while lamination is not. Compostable film is available for wrappers.
